Twelve Wings of the Eagle: Our Spiritual Evolution Through the Ages of the Zodiac (2018) by Maria Kay Simms

In a light, conversational style, the author has traced the spiritual evolution of western civilization through the precessional ages of history and a detailed study of the biblical Genesis.

Her narrative along with lively dialogue with her students are interspersed with stories from Genesis, Exodus and the gospels that are retold from class discussions that emphasize the zodiacal and numerological symbolism that can be found in the stories.

The use of astrology is seen here as a synthesis of such apparent opposites as faith (religion) and reason (science. The astrology of the Great Ages is shown to reflect the matriarchal roots of humanity through the dominance of the patriarchy to the current and future reemergence of the Goddess.

Dial Detective: Investigation with the 90° Dial (2017) by Maria Kay Simms

This is the book that only a Uranian astrologer who is also a graphic artist could do! It has well over 100 illustrations that show step by step how to use a 90° dial to study charts in detail and prove the old adage that " a picture is worth a thousand words." Within this book you'll be taught step-by-step how to set up charts on the dial and study them for aspect relationsips and the midpoints that are such a signficant key to obtaining detailed information about the person whose chart you are studying. One page has a full size 90° dial that you are free to cut out and use, and you are free to make copies of it so that you can have more than one dial to work with. An interesting variety of case studies are used to demonstarte the dial techniques and help you learn how to use them not just with words but with pictures, showing you exactly how to rotate the dial to see midpoints and planetary pictures.

Here you will discover how you, as a parent, can be the "adept"-supporting and encouraging your little "natural magician" toward the highest and happiest expression of his or her potential. Your Magical Chlld can help you improve relationship dynamics between yourself and your child-and it can give you greater insight into yourself, too, through considering and understanding the needs of your own "inner child."

Moon Tides, Soul Passages (2006) by Maria Kay Simms

Guides your understanding of past, present, and future, and the power of personal choice through the flow of life as defined by natal and secondary progressed lunar signs and the eight lunar phases, as first defined by Dane Rudhyar. Also covered are lunar and solar eclipses, prenatal and in transit, and tips on living with Moon in daily life through transiting signs and phases. Your intuitive understanding of Moon is evoked through Maria’s interpretations of the signs by element and mode through mythologies of four triple Goddess pantheons (Ishtar for water, Brighid for fire, Demeter for Earth, Isis for Air) with waxing Moon (cardinal) as Maiden, full Moon (fixed) as Mother and waning Moon (mutable) as Crone. Correspondence with the ancient (and modern) eight solar-seasonal holidays also enriches understanding of the eight-phase cyclical flow. Many examples are cited from personal and celebrity chart files.

Additional insights are provided through a chapter on experiential astrology with meditations and rituals for Moon in each element and phase, and through 16 pages in color of paintings by Maria and her daughter Molly Sullivan chosen for their illustration of the lunar elemental and phase themes.

The book includes an easy-to-use Windows software CD by Rique Pottenger that provides a three-page report of all personal information needed to apply the book’s interpretations. Page one lists natal Moon sign, house, phase, and prenatal eclipses plus a lifetime (three complete 29-1/2 year cycles) of sign and phase changes by secondary progression. Two additional pages list the transiting lunar sign changes and eclipses for one year, and the exact astrological times of the eight solar-seasonal holidays. The full ACS Atlas is built in.
